What we collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive and store:

Your full name, email address, profile picture, preferred locale, and Google account ID
Which of our tools you access, and when
Basic technical information (browser type, screen size, referring page)

We do not collect your phone number, address, or payment information unless you explicitly provide it inside a specific tool.

How we use it

To give you personalised college counselling suggestions across our tools
To improve our tools based on which features are used most
To contact you occasionally about your account or new tools, only if you have explicitly opted in

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with:

Service providers who host our systems (Google, Netlify) under their own privacy policies
Law enforcement, if required by a valid legal order

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act 2023 you have the right to access, correct, update, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@boomercounselor.com and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Users under 18

If you are under 18, please do not sign in without permission from a parent or legal guardian. Parents can email us to review, correct, or delete their child's data at any time.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion at any time.

Updates to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
